Hey folks!  Below are a few events I wanted to highlight coming up in February and March. 1.  BAM Black Comix Expo – Multiple Locations I learned about this event after visiting the Black Comics Collective’s table when I attended the Black Comic Book Festival last weekend.  Now in its second year, this event highlights the need for diversity and representation in the sci-fi and fantasy genres while exposing fans to creators, illustrators and superheroes of color.  The event is free and open to the public and will be held on February 10.  For more information, click here. 2.  Ink … Continue reading Upcoming Book Events – New York

Eat, Drink & Be Literary 2017

Well, it’s that time again.  Time to, well, eat, drink and be literary.  Brooklyn Academy of Music (affectionately known as BAM) is hosting its annual event where regular schmoes like me get to have dinner and pick the brains of their favorite authors.  I attended last year’s event with guest author Zadie Smith (see my post here) and besides being in awe of Ms. Smith and her brilliant brain, I enjoyed the food, the crowd and the space itself.  Being surrounded by fellow book lovers was a joy. Book Event – Eat, Drink & Be Literary

If you could have dinner with your favorite author, what question would you ask first?
